The new Dual Compound Impregnator from Reichel & Drews is the new standard in versatility. It is designed to run two compounds on the same membrane - or run your current standard product.

With the Dual Compound Impregnator, you can run:

The Dual Compound Impregnator integrates saturator rolls, a squeeze roll system for removing air, two sets of calendar rolls, a patented support positioning system, edge scrapers, back coating scrapers and coating pan uniformly heated with thermal fluid. This new design includes a rear overflow weir for constant compound level and temperature, a movable gate for isolating two compounds and a unique back coating system.

Entry idle roll By Customer.
   
Impregnation rolls Two (2) each 6 1/2" diameter dip rolls. Each roll has individually adjustable depth control through a handwheel rack and pinion raising and lowering system.
   
Squeeze roll Two (2) each 5 7/8" diameter hot oil heated rolls, with rotary unions and flex hoses. Top roll is controlled up/down by air cylinder.
   
Support locating system
two (2) provided
Consists of a locating idle roll positioned by a pair of raising and lowering gearboxes with handwheel. System accurately and consistently positions support within the cross section of the membrane.
   
Calendar rolls
two (2) provided
Two (2) 5 7/8" diameter hot oil heated rolls, with rotary unions and flex hoses. Rolls adjusted through a precision worm-gear raising and lowering box. Each roll is equipped with an adjustable scraper. Entry set of calendar rolls driven by two (2) AC vector gear motors with encoders. Exit set of calendar rolls driven by one (1) AC vector gear motor. Top roll geared to lower roll. Provided with quick method of raising top roll off membrane for peal and stick product. Exit set of calendar rolls to include approx. 10" diameter transfer style inking roll with separate AC vector gear motor for back coating of the peal and stick compound.
   
Back coating scraper
two (2) provided
Located on exit side of each set of calendar rolls. Adjustable from operator side. Heavy duty to control thickness of back coating.
   
Edge scraping system Two (2) sets of adjustable edge scrapers mounted on a pivoting cross shaft. Each set of scrapers is independently adjustable to produce a uniform membrane edge as it exits the impregnator.
   
Framework Heavy duty structural tubing framework complete with all items assembled.
   
Impregnator pan Fabricated steel pan, designed for hot oil heating. The pan will include three (3) clean out access doors, adjustable weir, rear overflow for level adjustment and two (2) 4" compound return lines. Valves and pumps by customer or available from Reichel & Drews.
